APPEAL OF THE "AZOV" REGIMENT COMMANDER ON OCCASION OF "AZOV'S" ANNIVERSARY

Today the "Azov" regiment marks a year since its establishment. This year was the year of testing our strength and courage. We went through not one battle side by side. AZOV released Mariupol, freed and restored in it the Ukrainian authority. We shed blood near Maryinka, Ilovaysk, Novyi Svit, Starobeshevo and Shyrokyne. This summer we stopped Russian invaders near Mariupol on the line of Shyrokyne. We conducted a winter raid - the only successful offensive of the Ukrainian military, and freed Shyrokyne from invaders.
During a year, from 60 guerrillas we have become the most successful fighting unit and the only one to receive the status of the regiment, which now has 1,200 fighters. We started repelling the invaders with small arms, now we see the enemy through the optical sight of heavy weapons.
Our flags demarcate today the Ukrainian front. Banners of the "Azov" regiment soon will appear on the borders of our state. Donets'k, Lugansk and Crimea were and will be an integral part of Ukraine. And we are capable of everything. For the Truth is behind us. And we step in the right direction!
Our fraternity, sealed with the blood of the fallen "Azovians," today has become the proof for the only true idea - Idea of the Nation - Great, Mighty and Primordial Ukraine!
